Wonderful Worship! At least I was moved! The pastor was out with back surgery so the message was given by an elder of the church. It was a good message about the lust of the flesh...the things of the world etc. and how God will not take second place. ...and the things of this earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace... I think that's how it goes...from the old hymn. A good and timely message. The children went to the Sunday school after worship. I don't think they enjoyed it as much as the last church. Actually I'm SURE they didn't. However Az keeps singing some song about the Lord but I don't recognize it. It's very sweet though. Avi didn't like it and I think it's because it was a tiny little class with just a few children, all of which were boys and there was an enticing child's kitchen and toys that she didn't get to play with. She wants to go to another church. Ha ha. And, of course, we will. This was a very nice small church with wonderfully friendly people. Not a lot of kids and we had the ONLY baby in the church. Speaking of the baby, she did GREAT. She fell asleep during worship and for the beginning of the message and was a happy, smiley little camper for the rest of the sermon. All in all a good experience for the Momma! Next week we'll try the Reformed church or the Bible church and hopefully we'll find the one we'll attend regularly from these three. If not, then on to one of the other 70 plus churches in the area. I picked these last two on my list because a lot of homeschoolers go there so that would mean that there are some like-minded individuals and families that we might connect with there. The FourSquare church was chosen to try out based on the fact that Mark has always been to that kind of church and the church we LOVED in Monroe, WA was a wonderful 4Sq. Well, I'm just glad we're back to looking. We took a long hiatus from the search.
And now...
Off to the library.
