The gorge
The upper viewpoint shelter
You know who these two people are, right?

The Gorge and the Falls

Palouse Falls in all it's Springtime glory!
Close ups of the Falls
This was my zoom on the digital getting the falls hitting the pool at the bottom.
Looking across from the viewpoint. Isn't that just geologically, amazingly, gorgeous?!

Avi, Liberty, and I on the edge of a cliff. Well, I kept far enough away from the edge so I wouldn't tumble over. I did look over and it did not do wonders for my fear of heights!
Elisha and Liberty. Enough said!
Liberty in her cumbersome three wheeled stroller. I thought this would be a great stroller for getting out and about. HOWEVER, it does NOT do well on gravelly paths and certainly is too big to do any off the path adventures. I think we need to invest in a nice backpack for these outings in the future!
Our little adventurer. Actually, she did NOT think that hiking around was fun...even on the easy trail. I think Avi was just a bit tired and cranky that afternoon!
Amber Dawn, Elisha, and Shalom by the drop off.

CASTLE ROCK
How would you like to live in THIS castle? What beautiful scenery.
There was a hike to Castle Rock and there were people down there but I didn't think it would be a safe hike for the kids. Fortunately I wasn't the only one. When they're older it would be a fun little adventure to check out Castle Rock up close!Posted by Picasa

Smeared, smooshed, and wearing it!

Messy Messy Cake Business

OK...so we went ahead and got totally sugar laden bakery cake for Liberty's birthday. Normally I would have made the cake myself but this was an unplanned PRE-BIRTHDAY, birthday party. It was actually a few days before her birth date. We celebrated early since Gramma E was here visiting. We had a really fun time!

Dear God

Dear God,

Thank You for this wonderful dinner.

I love you God.

You're the best thing in this whole world
that I've ever not seen.

Amen

That was Azriel's prayer at dinner last night.

Liberty's new freedom

Just wanted to share with you all the fact that little miss Liberty is now on the path to walking. She can, and will, walk across the room to you as long as you stand her up and coax her along. She has yet to just get up and walk on her own to get from place to place; she's still crawling for that. Anyhow, I'm excited that she's beginning to walk because I've really been looking forward to it! She's crawling past me as I type so I better see where she's headed. More later!

Flyin' High

Az picked up a $1 kite at Target a couple weeks ago and it was a windy day when he bought it so he tried it out as soon as we got home. He had his first ever successful kite flying adventure. He's tried to fly a kite many times before but this time all the conditions were just right and he was able to do it right out in front of our house.

Oh, and I had to add a couple of Azriel's interesting comments! Last night as we were sitting together on the couch he turns to me and very seriously requests that I start giving him the front page of the newspaper every day (we don't even get one!). I ask him why and he answers, "I want to know what's going on in the world"

This morning, not 20 minutes ago he tells me, "Mom, you're the BEST Mom in the whole world!". Wanting him to elaborate on why I'm so wonderful I asked him WHY and he responds, "Because you're the only one I've got."

And not to leave out Avigail. I'll share something exceedingly sweet that she did for me!
The weeks leading to Easter she kept doing secret drawings/colorings downstairs and then she would run by me and hide them under her bed. She told me she was making me a surprise present for Easter. I figured she'd forget about them come Easter but she didn't. After they got their Easter baskets and did the egg hunt she excused herself to go and get my present. She came back in with 8 pieces of printer paper that were taped together like a quilt, each with a different drawing that she had worked on at different times. She had carefully taped them and made each paper different. It was so sweet and I just couldn't believe that she had been secretly working on this for about 2 or 3 weeks, a little at a time. What thoughtfulness. I need to take a picture of it and post it here now since I told you all about it~!
